WEISS BR040S Linear Actuator
The BR-S series of actuators combines a steel reinforced polyurethane belt drive with a compact and sturdy profile rail guideway design resulting in an actuator with excellent price to performance ratio. The mechanism is housed within a precision extruded aluminum profile reducing internal contamination and providing several mounting options. The carriage comes machined with tapped mounting and precision dowel holes to simplify accurate attachement of tooling; multiple carriages are available to reinforce load capacity and increase bearing lifetime. A variety of accesories including limit switches, mounting hardware, motor adapters and couplers are available as well as a full range of connection adapters to streamline the design of multi-axis configurations with other WEISS actuators.

The BR-S series is designed for applications that require highly dynamic, high-speed linear motion over long travel distances. The BR-S is driven by a high-performance, steel-reinforced polyurethane timing belt. For load bearing and guidance, it utilizes a single integrated, zero-backlash ball rail guide system housed within a rigid, precision-extruded aluminum profile.
To maintain operational integrity in active manufacturing environments, the BR-S features a tightly integrated, corrosion-resistant protection strip. This seal shields the internal ball rail guide and belt mechanisms from dust, debris, and other particulate contaminants.
Yes. The exterior aluminum profile of the BR-S includes standardized, integrated T-slots along its entire length. This allows for simple, highly rigid mounting to machine beds and makes it extremely easy to combine multiple units into multi-axis Cartesian robots or complex gantry systems.
Maintenance is designed to be minimal and straightforward. The moving carriage is equipped with dedicated lubrication ports, allowing maintenance teams to easily re-lubricate the internal ball rail guide system without needing to dismantle the actuator or remove the protective sealing strip.
