The WEISS SR-S Series of linear actuators represents a class of highly compact linear units equipped with a precision ball screw drive and an integrated, zero-backlash ball rail guide.

Core Mechanics & Load Handling
At the structural core of the SR-S series is a compact, precision-extruded 6063 AL aluminum profile. The integration of the zero-backlash ball rail guide directly into this profile allows the unit to handle high load capacities and execute optimal motion cycles, even when moving larger masses at high velocities. For applications requiring higher speeds over extended stroke lengths, an integrated ball screw support system reduces vibrations and deflections, enabling the actuator to handle higher axial loads in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
Environmental Protection
To maintain exact precision in active manufacturing environments, the internal mechanics are fully shielded. A corrosion-resistant protection strip seals the aluminum profile, working to protect the internal ball screw and guide rails from dust and other particulate contaminants.
Maintenance & Integration
Routine maintenance is streamlined through a central lubrication port on the carriage, allowing for the quick, single-point re-lubrication of both the ball screw and the rail guide systems without disassembling the unit. Additionally, the external aluminum profile features integrated T-slots, providing secure, flexible mounting points for fixing the linear unit into a machine bed, as well as for attaching necessary sensors and switches.
