BR-D Series Linear Actuators

The WEISS BR-D Series of linear actuators represents a class of highly engineered products built around a pre-tensioned, steel-reinforced polyurethane timing belt drive and two parallel, integrated, zero-backlash rail guides.

Designed with compact dimensions, these actuators deliver exceptional performance characteristics - specifically high speeds, rigorous accuracy, and exact repeatability. These strict operational tolerances make the BR-D series exceptionally well-suited for demanding industrial applications requiring highly dynamic linear motion, such as high-speed automation, packaging, and advanced positioning systems.

Core Mechanics & Load Handling

At the structural core of the BR-D series is a compact, precision-extruded aluminum profile. The integration of the parallel, zero-backlash rail guide systems within this profile allows the unit to handle high load capacities and execute optimal motion cycles, even when moving larger masses at high velocities. Furthermore, the units are inherently modular and can be easily combined to construct complex, multi-axis positioning systems.

Environmental Protection

To maintain exact precision in active manufacturing environments, the internal mechanics are shielded. A corrosion-resistant, anti-static polyurethane sealing strip works to protect the internal guide rails and drive mechanics from dust and other particulate contaminants.

Maintenance & Integration

Routine maintenance is streamlined through dedicated carriage lubrication ports, which allow for the easy re-lubrication of the rail guide systems without disassembling the unit. Additionally, the external aluminum profile features integrated T-slots, providing secure, flexible mounting points for fixing the linear unit into a machine bed, as well as for attaching necessary sensors and switches.
